Find the ticket
Open CourtHelp from LA's traffic page and enter “traffic ticket.” Available services depend on your case.
Request traffic school
Choose the fine plus school processing fee if available. LA also accepts requests by mail, phone, at a traffic clerk's office, or at arraignment.
Save the approval and deadline
Confirm the school authorization before enrolling. Court charges are separate from the course fee.

Freeway reports completion electronically for California-licensed drivers after you pass and pay. How reporting works.
Allow court processing time
LA retrieves the electronic certificate from DMV. Its school page recommends checking the ticket at least a week after completion.
Check the ticket status
LA's status guide identifies “Dismissed” as the result after receipt of a school certificate. Ask the traffic clerk about an unclear record.
