Get court approval

  1. Check eligibility

Read the courtesy notice and resolve any required appearance with the court.

  2. Request school with court payment

Use the court-linked ePay-It service, automated line at (951) 222-0384, or mailed request to the Payment Processing Center.

  3. Save the approved deadline

Keep the school confirmation. Book a traffic clerk phone appointment if permission or the date is unclear.

Enroll with your court details

  • Riverside region code

Use Western 33460 or Desert 33450 as assigned to the citation, rather than where you live.

Keep the school confirmation and assigned reporting destination.

  2. Ask the traffic clerk

Book a traffic phone appointment and have your case number, school name, and completion confirmation ready.

Common questions

Already paid without requesting school?

Review RI-TR005, Request for Traffic School After Bail Forfeiture or Trial, and submit it for a court decision. It is not automatic approval.

Does a response extension extend school?

It changes a different date. Confirm the school deadline separately with the court.

Which appointment handles traffic?

Choose a traffic clerk phone appointment. Riverside's Self-Help Legal Services appointments do not cover traffic matters.
