Get court approval

  1. Check the reminder notice

Find eligibility, the response date, and any mandatory appearance. Use case lookup if the notice is missing.

  2. Choose the available request route

Only TR- case numbers can request school online. For other prefixes, send the request and payment by mail, drop box, or at the Floyd Avenue counter.

  3. Keep the referral and deadline

Use the completion date in the court instructions or minute order. Enroll with the school separately.

Confirm your completion

Freeway reports completion electronically for California-licensed drivers after you pass and pay. How reporting works.

  1. Finish with time for reporting

Receipt is not immediate. Complete early enough for the court deadline.

  2. Check the portal

Stanislaus updates school completions by due date. Verify both completion and full court payment.

  3. Follow up on a missing record

Email traffic.requests@stanct.org with your case number, citation number, name, birth date, license number, and completion details. Further reminders are generally not sent.

Common questions

Need more course time?

Ask the Traffic Clerk before the due date about an eligible one-time school extension. Keep the old date until a change is granted.

Is a trial scheduled or already completed?

Online school sign-up is unavailable until the trial and order. Ask the court about school eligibility if found guilty.

Need financial relief and school?

Ask Traffic about the Defendant's Request and Order packet for fine reduction, installments, and school.
