Get court approval

  1. Look up your citation

Use Case Inquiry with the citation number. Contact Criminal/Traffic before the response date if the ticket or reminder notice is missing.

  2. Complete the court requirements

Ventura requires the fine, school administrative payment, and any correction proof before permission.

  3. Save the completion date

Online school payment displays the deadline; mailed payment is followed by a notice. Use that assigned date.

Confirm your completion

Freeway reports completion electronically for California-licensed drivers after you pass and pay. How reporting works.

  1. Check the completion status

Ventura uses “TVS – Conviction” when school completion is received. Open case information from its school page.

  2. Resolve a missing record

Freeway can check reporting details. Criminal/Traffic handles court receipt and case processing; have your citation and completion confirmation ready.

Common questions

Is the ticket date a hearing appointment?

For an infraction, Ventura treats it as a due date. Resolve the ticket or arrange the appropriate court step by then.

Need financial help and school?

Tell the court you want both when using its ability-to-pay route or a written request. Confirm school permission and payment terms.

Need more time to complete school?

Request a school-completion extension through the secure county portal or an authorized clerk before time runs out. A general case extension changes a different date.
